Rabbi Daniel Thwaites was born and raised in Manchester, UK. After studying at Yeshivat Har Etzion as a Hesder student, he served in the IDF as an infantry soldier in the Nahal Brigade. Upon completing his army service he returned to Har Etzion whilst working as a madrich for the overseas program and coordinating the Yeshiva’s Lone Soldier program. Rabbi Thwaites received semicha from Rabbi Zalman Nechemia Goldberg and holds a BA in History from Hebrew University. From 2017-2019 Rabbi Thwaites was on shlichut in Toronto, Canada, where he taught in Yeshivat Or Chaim and served as the Rabbi of Congregation Ayin L’Tzion in Thornhill. Rabbi Thwaites lives in Modiin with his wife and three children, where he also works as a mechanech in the Amit Boys School.
